Project closing
Dear Visitor,
with the last event in The Hague (NL) beginning of April our project EU=You came to an end. Therefore, we are now collecting all results, material, pictures and movie clips in order to provide you with an extensive media library. Soon you will be able to find all powerpoint presentations, event reports and multimedia on this website. Just frequently check the menu item “media”. You can additionally find all videos on our Youtube channel www.youtube.com/europeisyou. Furthermore, we are currently busy with producing a brochure and a DVD containing the entire project documentation. You can keep informed by visiting this website every now and then.
We – the Culture Goes Europe team – would like to thank everyone who has been involved in the four events: speakers, guests, visitors, partners, supporters. It was an interesting journey!
Our last event, the public meeting “Ready for the 21st century? The European Union after the Treaty of Lisbon (Part II)” will be take place at the beginning of April in The Hague (NL). This conference will basically focus on the European Citizens’ Initiative (ECI) as the main tool for active citizenship initiated by the Lisbon Treaty. We are going to give different perspectives of the ECI with the aid of our professional speakers.
On friday the 1st we are going to have the first event at the Stayokay Hostel. On Saturday and Sunday we are going to be in the Haagse Lobby of the Central Public Library.
We have closured the assortment of the international participants and are happy to announce that 15 international participants from all over Europe will be participating. Local guests are also welcome to attend and we would appreciate if you could register yourself with a mail to our mail address.
Event in Pilsen (CZ) March 5-6
You can now have a look into the program of the upcoming expert’s forum in Pilsen (CZ). If you are from Czech Republic or you would like to visit the meeting, you can contact us here. The forum will chiefly deal with the topic of civil society organizations, networking and exchange between them. On sunday 6th, also a workshop session is scheduled and we invite everyone to participate. The following file is an updated one (28/02/11):

Public Meeting in The Hague (NL), April 1-3
We currently plan our last event, the public meeting “Ready for the 21st century? The European Union after the Treaty of Lisbon (Part II)” beginning of April in The Hague (NL). This conference will basically focus on the European Citizens’ Initiative (ECI) as the main tool for active citizenship initiated by the Lisbon Treaty.

Program Public Conference in Erfurt December 3-7
All of you interested in the conference, starting in 9 days in Erfurt, Germany, can find the program here. There, of course, are still changes possible, though. We are looking forward to welcome you in Erfurt soon.
By the way: Of course, also locals from Erfurt and surroundings are more than welcome! The conference takes place in the Fachhochschule Erfurt, Building 7, Room 7.1.15 (entrance Altonaer Straße). Just check the program – all activities are free of charge!
Public Conference in Erfurt (Germany) beginning of December
We are currently very actively organizing the second event of our project, the public conference in Erfurt/Germany, December 3.-7. If you would like to attend as an international or local participant, you may contact us here. Please note that only internationals who are selcted and sent by our partner organizations are entitled to get a free accommodation and a reimbursement of travel expenses. Additionally, we need a CV and a brief Letter of Motivation.
However, all interested locals are welcomed to attend the conference whenever they want to. All activities are free of charge.

Jetzt anmelden für nächsten Samstag!
Am kommenden Samstag findet die erste Veranstaltung des Projektes “EU = You!” im Tangosaal Esquina del Tango am Erfurter Anger statt. Thematisch wird es um den Vertrag von Lissabon und seine Änderungen für die EU und uns Bürger gehen – sowie um das Internet als Medium für eine Bürgerbeteiligung. Wird die EU in Zukunft demokratischer und bürgernäher?
Referieren wird u.a. Dr. Dr. Dietmar Görgmaier, Leiter des Europäischen Informationszentrums der Thüringer Staatskanzlei. Nebenbei möchte der Veranstalter auch mit der Vorstellung von Organisationen wie den “JEFs” (Junge Europäische Föderalisten) und Culture Goes Europe aus Erfurt Beispiele für Beteiligung in Europa aufzeigen.
